CHESS TOURNAMENT 2026

Chess Tournament 2026 — Honeydew School, Mahasamund

"Learning through play is the Honeydew way!"

Honeydew School recently hosted an exciting Chess Tournament in collaboration with Brilliant Chess Academy, bringing together young minds for a day of strategy, focus, and healthy competition. The event was a wonderful showcase of how a simple game of 64 squares can teach patience, discipline, and sharp thinking — values we love nurturing in our students.

Organised with Expert Guidance

The tournament was organised by Sandeep Patle, a National Chess Coach and the founder of Brilliant Chess Academy. With his guidance and expertise, students got the opportunity to compete in a well-structured, professionally run tournament right on their own school campus — a rare and valuable experience for young players.

Young Minds, Big Moves

Students took their places at the chessboards with quiet determination, thinking several moves ahead as they matched wits with their classmates. The atmosphere was one of focused concentration, occasionally broken by the excitement of a well-played move or a hard-fought win.

Celebrating the Winner

After several rounds of closely contested matches, Deepanshu Patle emerged as the champion of the tournament, impressing everyone with sharp strategy and composure under pressure. Congratulations to Deepanshu on this well-deserved win!

Building Champions, On and Off the Board

At Honeydew School, we believe games like chess do more than sharpen the mind — they build patience, resilience, and the confidence to think independently. Our thanks to Sandeep Patle and Brilliant Chess Academy for partnering with us to bring this enriching experience to our students.
